The system consists of a conveyor module, on which containers of metallic and non-metallic material and/or containers of a fixed height are placed. One sensor checks the material type (metal or plastic) and another sensor checks the height. According to the programme, the container is sorted and transferred using rotary pick & place manipulator to the weighing module. According to the weight tolerances configured, the containers are stored in the pallet using QUEST, a SCARA robot. Numerous other configurations are possible, as described in following MAPS systems.
