MTAB ASRS - 8 is a standalone system and
can be controlled in an FMS/CIM environment.
ASRS consists of 8 cells in single column of 8 rows. It is expandable up
to 48 cells in 6 columns. It consists of a pneumatic arm on a platform to
push and pull the pallet. The platform is traversed in X and Y axes by belt
and AC servo motors and is controlled by micro controller. The ASRS is provided
with a teach box, which has homing, jogging, teaching cell positions, auto
and manual execution of storage and retrieval functions. The ASRS frame is
built aesthetically using natural anodized aluminium profiles. The X, Y and
Z guides are fitted with LM Guides for smooth travel. The ASRS is provided
with a transfer station to accept the pallet from ASRS platform or the conveyor
or AGV.

The transfer height is adjustable according to the height of the conveyor or AGV or linear slide. The ASRS emulates industrial storage and retrieval application. Using offline programming software, the ASRS functions can be programmed by a PC and transferred to the control through RS232C.
